Role overview:
Patient, family and public engagement are central to improving the quality of health research, quality of health care and the health of those living with Long COVID. Long COVID Patient Partner Advisory Council will work together with Researchers, clinicians, physicians and additional LCW members to advance the research conducted on Post -COVID Condition; Including the determination of patient-oriented research priorities, the process of patient engagement in research projects and both tools and resources that support the Pillars
Knowledge, experience, skills required: The Patient Partner Advisory Council is dedicated to the meaningful inclusion of the diverse voices of people with lived experience in Canada including family members, caregivers and community members who have lived experience with Long COVID.

It would be very helpful if Patient Partner Advisory Council members have experience being part of a patient-oriented research team as well as experience working on a committee/council.
​
Note: This call is open to all long COVID web members. At this time preference of this call will be for members in the Atlantic region and members residing in rural and remote locations.
​
Time commitment: The commitment is one year renewable. We expect this to be approximately 40-50 hours. Patient Partner Advisory Council meetings fluctuate depending on the priorities. Meetings are one hour in length. They are currently Bi-Weekly. Some preparation is required before meetings to review the agenda or post-meeting action items. There is potential for sub-working groups to be formed to carry out Patient Partner Advisory Council activities and members may choose to join these if they are interested and have capacity.
Location: Meetings will be held virtually using Zoom.

This Call is open to Long COVID Web members only

The Patient Advisory Council will review the Expressions of Interest and Contact those selected for Interviews. A Character Reference will be requested at that time.
​
Supports available to participate: Stipend to be determined
​
