Background

​

Building on the success of the inaugural Canadian Symposium on Long COVID hosted by the Fonds de recherche du Québec and the Long COVID Web in September 2023, Alberta is pleased to announce the 2024 Canadian Symposium on Long COVID.

 

The symposium will bring together people with lived experience of Long COVID, policymakers, clinicians, trainees, researchers and others to discuss the latest innovations and scientific developments in Long COVID.

​

The overall learning objectives are to enhance the clinical and basic science understanding of Long COVID delivered from the perspectives of the clinician, researcher and persons with lived experience. Learners will recognize the basic science of Long COVID delivered from the perspectives of the clinician, researcher, and persons with lived experience.

 

Hosted by the University of Alberta, University of Calgary, Alberta Health Services, and Long COVID Web, this event will take place in-person in Edmonton on October 3-4, 2024. It will be broadcast online for those who cannot attend in person.​
